My back was a little tight today which made the run in the neighborhood rather interesting. I'm glad I did it though, and after a hot bath I'm feeling much better.

5 miles --> 41:03
Well I haven't blogged in several days, I think I'll cut down to blogging about once or twice a week. However this week i did great 4 miles a night every night but Wed and Fri. Today I did the 5 miles through the neighborhood. It was cool and a light misty rain was falling. Perfect weather for running. I also did weights twice this week. I intend on doing weights downstairs for my third day right now. I was not dilligent in my planks. Supposed to do those twice a week, and I'll do my first set today.

Okay so it was a sucky run. After I was finished I realized that they had the air off in the workout room of the hotel. I think the heat got to me. Anyhow did a full workout with weights too. There was a full length mirror in there and I was quite impressed with how well my arms seem to be responding to my workouts. I think there is a definate definition and size difference so I thought I'd post a picture here. See what u think.

catch up time
forgot to blog yesterday but I ran 5 miles in the neighborhood. Feels like I pulled my groin muscle though so no running tonight. Instead I did weights for tricep and chest. I will also do a set of planks.

H.I.I.T. High Intensity Interval Training
I was reading a Mens Health Magazine today and came across and article on H.I.I.T. Training and realized I used to do these months ago. Not sure why I stopped other than the fact that it doesn't seem as impressive to me to run 2.75 miles as it does 5. But the science is quite clear that these interval training sessions do more for muscle gain and fat loss than a longer evenly paced run does. So I'm going to incorporate at least 2 Interval runs in my 4 per week cycle. If you don't know what these are refer back to my August 23, 2008 posting. Tonight I did 5 intervals total. I failed to blog last night as well, but I ran 4 miles in 34:18 last night.

Ran in the neighborhood. Was a bit warmer than I would have liked, but it was a good run. Now I'm off to do weights for tricep and chest.
